PerPETual Global, through its subsidiary, Polygenta Technologies, has deployed its first ReNEW unit in Nashik, India. The plant is a state-of-the-art, fully integrated showcase site which includes a 10,000 tonne per annum ReNEW module, a 30,000 tonne per annum conventional PET plant, and downstream integration to produce environmental polyester filament yarn from its sustainable PET (made from high and consistent quality recycled esters). The plant processes close to 1,000,000 waste PET plastic bottles everyday to manufacture 72 tonnes per day of a variety of high-grade sustainable filament yarns which are sold to close to 60 customers worldwide.
ReNEW plants are modular and can be operated as stand-alone units producing a sustainable feedstock for the PET industry globally, or they can be integrated seamlessly onto conventional PET plants. Following the success of its first site, PerPETual Global is working on several expansion opportunities globally.
